Is there something in the air or water that's making people crash their cars today?

This was causing traffic on 880 this morning. It was in the opposite direction, but firetrucks, ambulances, and other blinky lights were coming up form the side we were on, causing a slow-down. The radio informed us that there was another accident several more exits up (past our turn off point) and even more in San Mateo/Marin/elsewhere.
And tonight, on the same 880, we passed by another smashed up pair of cars not too far from this morning's accidents.
The roads seem to be filled with more and more people who can't drive; are they just handing out licenses to anyone now?
We've been getting stuck behind the slowest people all week too. And followed by people who insist on having their brights on. It pisses me off that these drivers are so self-absorbed – they don't pay attention to anyone else and don't think about anyone else. Or if they do, they just plain don't care.
If you're stopped at a light and you're not turning right, don't fucking block up the right lane. Allow others to make a right turn. And when you do make a turn, please do so at more than 5mph. and why the fuck do people drive slower than 20 on city streets; that's below the speed limit.
And people on the freeway who change lanes only to match speed with the car in the lane they just got out of. Why don't you just fucking stay in the lane you were in and not block up the fast lane.
I want a large mirror or other deflector device to stick in the back of the car. Do you not realize how fucking bright your brights are? Are these people just dicks, or are they actually so clueless that they don't know that their high beams affect those in front of them?
And people who stop on top of where it's clearly marked STAY CLEAR, or stop in an intersection and block off cross traffic because waiting of the next light is something they don't have time for, but it's okay to force everyone else going across to wait an extra cycle.
And when you're changing lanes, please change lanes. Don't hog both of them for the entire block. There are people behind you.
I haven't even driven this week; I've only been a passenger and I already have more road rage than someone driving long shifts all month.
